Empirically Supported Clinical Services
While childhood behavioral problems tend to have the highest rate of child referrals to clinics, they are surprisingly simple to address. Many times, parents are already doing many of the right things but sometimes not applying them consistently enough or with the proper timing. Sometimes, simply reorganizing what a parent is already doing quickly remedies the behavioral issues. Other times, a simple and proper pairing of the few simple things the parents want from the child with a few things the child wants eliminates undesirable behavior in a relatively short amount of time. Responses to behavioral plans are typically measurably improved in a matter of a couple of months, sometimes in as little as a few weeks.
